The DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT wheels were developed in collaboration with SWISS SIDE, the leading experts in aerodynamic optimization. The AERO+ rim profiles are characterized by low air resistance and reduced steering torque. Ideal for improving aerodynamics, sailing effect and control even in strong crosswinds. The wheel is completet by the DT Swiss Aero spokes in combination with the 180 DICUT Aero hub including the ultra-light running SINC ceramic bearings.

By combining new and proven aero components, cyclists benefit from maximum control in many riding situations and at high speeds. Thanks to the AERO+ rim, optimal aerodynamics are ensured by reduced drag, as well as controllable handling due to reduced steering torque. In addition, the shape of the rim can create a forward pushing sailing effect in crosswinds.

The profiles of the rims have been specially developed for tubeless use. They guarantee a perfect fit and make the installation of the tire as easy as possible. Nevertheless, it is always possible to use a conventional combination of tire and tube.

The light DT aerolite II spokes stand for excellent aerodynamics and high tensile strength. The dimension of the aero shape is 35% wider and 23% thinner compared to its predecessor.

The 180 DICUT hub has been aerodynamically optimized and now has a smaller hub body. The slimmer hub body with smaller hub flanges and so-called "cut outs" at the Centerlock brake disc mount reduces the weight of the hubs by 11 g compared to the previous aero hub.

DT Swiss hubs are known for the No-Tool concept. The concept allows the tool-free conversion to all common axle and freewheel body standards. All DT Swiss Ratchet System hubs can be converted.

Ratchet EXP Technology

The Ratchet System EXP hubs are unique in that all the teeth of the two discs mesh simultaneously every time. In the case of ratchet hubs, the meshing area is quite small. In the case of the Ratchet System, however, the entire face surfaces engage with each other, which makes for a much smaller point load. The result is the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs.

Compared to the original Ratchet system, the EXP system reduces the overall number of components, utilizing a single spring, resulting in a decrease in weight of the freehub system. Allowing the use of a single cylindrical spring resulting in a faster full engagement and therefore an increase in reliability. The integration of the drive side bearing into the threaded ring increases the bearing distance, resulting in a 15% improvement in hub stiffness.
